Fire Destroys Carpet
We responded to a call at a Hanover hotel, they had requested assistance with a small fire that had occurred in one of their rooms. It appeared that a visitor had emptied an ash tray into a small trashcan in the room. The hot ashes smoldered in the trash can after the visitors checked out of the room and eventually became a full-fledged fire that could have been catastrophic.
Upon our inspection it was determined that cleaning the soot on the wall and carpet was not an option, the only way to clean up the situation was to remove the carpet and drywall. We were able to provide a robust cleaning to the rest of the room and use an ozone machine to freshen the air and finally run the vapor shark to add a fresh lemony smell to the room.
